Copy Editing

$5.50/1000 words.  Copy editing focuses on elements such as detail and description continuity and timeline continuity, as well as spelling, punctuation, grammar, word usage and sentence structure. It includes checking for outstanding technical issues and making suggestions to improve clarity of expression.  Copy editing begins after the final draft is complete, and will always take place after any developmental editing.  Minimum project fee = $100.

Proofreading

$3.50/1000 words.  My proofreading provides you with a thorough review of spelling, punctuation, grammar, tense inconsistencies, missing, duplicated and/or misused words, repeaters, and sentence structure issues.  Proofreading takes place after all other editing rounds have been completed.  Minimum project fee = $75.

Copy Edit + Proofread

$8/1000 words.  Full copy edit, returned to you for changes, followed by a final round of edits and proofreading.  Minimum project fee = $150.
